SURVIVOR TREASURE CHEST!!!!!
IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS.....
This is the entire Survivor II cast. Photo is taken on the first day after arriving by plane and not being able to talk to each other until they were told to go get all the items you could carry out of the box and start.
THERE'S LOTS OF THESE AROUND, YIKES!!
THE TRIBES
KUCHA (derived from the Aboriginal word meaning "kangaroo)"
OGAKOR (derived from the Aboriginal word meaning "crocodile")
BARRAMUNDI, after a particular fish indigenous to the Herbert River. (It survives in both fresh and salt water) Jerri described how fitting she thought the new name was: "It's a great name for our new tribe because this is when things get slippery and sneaky, and it's hard to catch people". Yes that's Jerri isum LOL :)
No Survivor page would be complete without the host of the show. I like Jeff but he's almost saddistic though. When I see him, I thought instintively crosses my mind and screams "GO BACK IT'S A TRAP!"
F.Y.I.!!!!!
THE COVETED IMMUNITY NECKLACE THAT SAVES YOU AT THIS!
SURVIVOR II was shot at the Herbert River Falls, 130 kilometers south of the coastal city of Cairns.
Thanks to Dan Bollinger for the image and much information.
What SURVIVOR II is calling the "Outback" isn't really. Whereas the actual Outback of Australia is a good three days drive from the coast, the Herbert River Falls is only four hours away.
Why did Mark Burnett choose this spot? Because he knows it. Burnett's Eco-Challenge was once filmed in this area. The SURVIVOR set is near what's marked as Gleneagle Station" on the map.
